A Glimmer on the Horizon
Hello my dear ones, this poem is meant to offer you a little comfort in difficult times.
When death takes someone you love, you feel lost, like a leaf carried by the wind. At first, you can hardly believe you must let go of your beloved forever.
Night falls within your heart, for your mind has gone numb. How can you endure so much sorrow without breaking beneath it?
Yet when you look out into the darkness of the night, you know with certainty that someone watches over you from above. Someone who helps you endure all of this, so that you may emerge from it stronger than before.
Someone who sends you a glimmer on the horizon and looks down upon you with kind and gentle eyes. That glimmer is called hope—you only need to lift your gaze toward the sky.
For every night is followed by a new day, no matter what may come. Until then, you continue your life on earth, trusting that happiness will return again.
For your loved ones never leave you alone; they will be with you forever. They have already finished their journey on earth and reached the world beyond before you.
There they remain forever, in that beautiful place. To let their light bring you comfort, do not be afraid to look toward the horizon.
For the sun will soon shine for you again, and there will surely be no reason left to weep.
